This event will address accessible arts opportunities and local connections, music therapy, art therapy, and ways to help our students be successful by getting involved in arts programming.
The day kicks off with keynote speaker, Erin Hoppe, Executive Director of VSA Ohio, the state organization on arts and disability, is followed by short break-out sessions led by arts professionals, and concludes with a question & answer panel discussion.
“The arts provide opportunities to develop language, cognition, fine and gross motor skills, social and life skills,
self-esteem and self-expression, and even the opportunity to define potential career paths. The arts are an avenue to developing an otherwise unheard voice.” – VSA Ohio
